What we collect and why
Table bookings: your name, phone, email, date and time, number of guests, preferred area, occasion and any notes you add. We use them to reserve your table, confirm it and contact you about it.
Group and party enquiries: your name, phone, email, date, number of people, type of event and your message. We use them to reply with an offer.
Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Website visits
Our web server records technical data for every visit (IP address, browser type, the page requested, time) and keeps it for up to 14 days. We use it only for security and for visitor statistics, which are anonymised. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Fonts and images are served from our own server. The map at the bottom of the page is provided by Google Maps and only loads when you scroll down to it; from that moment Google's privacy policy applies.
Cookies and storage
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. We only store your language choice (cookie "bjs_lang", 12 months) so the site opens in your language next time. This is needed for the site to work and does not require consent.
How long we keep it
Bookings and enquiries are deleted automatically from our booking system 12 months after the booking date. Emails about your booking are deleted from our mailbox at the latest after 12 months. Server logs and backups are kept for up to 14 days.
Who receives your data
Only the BJ's Bar team that handles bookings. Our website and email run on our own server, hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in the European Union. We never sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. Just email bookings@bjs.bar — we reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg) or the data protection authority in your country.
